ICC announced the officials’ list for the T20 World Cup Semifinals on 25th June. The list has included the high-octane IND vs ENG semifinal 2 match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The ICC Official list of semifinals has eased off many Indian fans’ worries knowing that English Richard Kettleborough will not be on the field umpire in the second semifinal at Providence Stadium, Guyana on June 27.

Richard Illingworth and Nitin Menon will be the on-field umpires for the first semifinal South Africa vs Afghanistan face-off. The off-field umpires for the SA vs AFG are Richard Kettleborough and Ahsan Raza, third and fourth umpires respectively. Richard Kettleborough’s presence vexes many Indian fans as India lost many ICC tournament games including the ODI World Cup Final 2023. Many fans have declared Richard Kettleborough a “serious jinxer” and took relief as he is no longer part of the India and England semifinal match.

The weather forecast predicted rain for the first semifinal with a 17° Celsius temperature and 31% partly cloudy. However, a reserve day is already allocated for the SA vs AFG semifinal 1 in case rain interrupts the match.

The on-field umpires for India vs England semifinal 2 are Chris Gaffaney and Rodney Tucker. Joe Wilson and Paul Reiffel will be the third and fourth TV umpires for Semi 2. The match referee for the 2nd semi will be former New Zealand cricketer Jeffrey Crowe.
