Former Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour was appointed as the Rajasthan Royals batting coach ahead of IPL 2025 season. Once again Rathour will be reunited with Rahul Dravid who is RR’ new head coach announced earlier this month.
Vikram Rathore and Rahul Dravid worked together to help Team India lift their second T20 World Cup earlier this year. Rathoure’s five-year stint with the Indian team as the batting coach started with Ravi Shastri and ended with the former head coach of Team Blue Rahul Dravid after the ICC T20 World Cup triumph over South Africa in June 2024.
Now once again Dravid and Rathour will work together for Rajasthan Royals. In an interview, Rahul Dravid admired Vikram Rathour’s work and said,
“Together, we’ve built a strong rapport, guiding India to key successes, and I’m thrilled to reunite with him. His ability to nurture young talent and elevate players’ potential will be invaluable as we aim to further strengthen our squad and continue building a world-class team here at Rajasthan Royals.”
