However, Rajasthan Royals have been eliminated from the tournament, but their last match witnessed that – even in defeat, they emerged victorious—winning the hearts of many. The team has decided to give a chance to Vaibhav Suryavanshi, choosing the 14-year-old to open in place of a seasoned player like Sanju Samson. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was born 27 March 2011 in Tajpur, Samastipur district of Bihar, India. Since his childhood, the boy had a passion for cricket and he started playing at the age of four years. Father Sanjiv was his first trainer who taught him the expertise of cricket, actually his father wanted to become a cricketer but due to financial issues he failed to achieve his dreams. However, when he saw the same passion in his son, he decided to support him and help him to achieve his goals.
During the initial days of his training, his father decided to send him to a cricket academy so that he can excel his skills. But due to the financial difficulties, his father couldn’t support him, but seeing the passion in his son’s eyes, he made the decision to sell his land and let his son go to a cricket academy in Samastipur.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi: Career
The 14-years-old boy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi started learning expertise from a cricket academy in Samstipur at the age of nine years. After having excelled in cricket, he played Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Bihar’s under-19 at the age of 12 years. He made his first-class debut at the age of 12 years and became the second youngest player after Alimuddin (Pakistani Player) to play in Ranji Trophy.
In November 2024, he debuted in T20 cricket at the age of 13 and became the youngest player to do so. After one month in December 2024, he debuted in List A, where he was playing for Bihar which was against Madhya Pradesh.
In September 2024, he made his debut for India under-19, where he was playing against Australia. In that match, he scored a 58-ball century and became the fastest under-19 player from India who scored a century.
