Towhid Hridoy made his ODI debut in March  2023 against Ireland, where he scored a blistering 92 off 85 balls, becoming the highest scorer on his debut. After hitting his first century in ODI, Towhid Hridoy became the second Bangladeshi player after Tamim Iqbal to hit century in ODI debut. Additionally, he is now the second-non opener after Mohd Kaif to hit centuries.
