T20WC 2024: Soon the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will wrap up with a new champion. South Africa has already clinched a Final spot crushing Afghanistan in the 1st semi-final. The Protease defeated Afghanistan dismantling the whole team on 56 in 11.5 overs and won by 9 wickets in Trinidad & Tobago.
Now it’s time for India and England to square off in the upcoming semifinal 2 in Guyana’s Providence Stadium on Thursday 27 June at 8:00 PM IST. The winner will be the second finalist facing Proteas on June 29 at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
Since the inception of the 9th edition of T20 World Cup 2024 teams have been struggling with inclement weather interrupting games now and then. Due to rain, many games were abandoned without any result leading many teams out of the tournament.
ICC has to make sure that this won’t happen with the semifinal and Final of T20 World Cup matches, so the reserve day is announced to produce a fair result.

Reserve days are allotted to complete the game the next day for fair and square results by the ICC in the cricket tournament. Mostly receive days allotted to knockouts and final matches in case the game is interrupted due to bad weather like rain or in any kind of emergency.
Is there any Reserve Day for the Final of the 2024 T20 World Cup?
Yes, Only Semifinal 1 and Final have been allocated Reserve Day by the ICC. Fortunately, there was no need to use Reserve Day for Semi-final 1 between South Africa and Afghanistan.
The Reserve Day for the Final game of the ongoing tournament has been allocated on Sunday 30th June.
However, there will be no reserve day for semifinal 2 between India and England which is scheduled Today at 8:00 PM IST. If rain interrupts the game there will be 250 extra minutes allotted to complete the game. In case of abandonment, the result will go in the favor of India to face South Africa in the Final aiming for a second T20 World Cup.
