The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will wrap with India and South Africa’s Final game in Barbados. The two finalists, India defeated defending champion England and South Africa won a record-breaking game against Afghanistan.
With Final Match 55, the T20 World Cup closing ceremony will also be scheduled on Saturday 29th June at Kingston Oval. The 9th edition of the T20 World Cup has set a record prize money for the winners. Earlier this month ICC announced the record-breaking prize money of $11.25 million for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The money will be distributed among all the teams but of course, winners will get the highest stake.

The race for the T20 World Cup 2024 started among 20 teams and took place at 9 different venues in the West Indies and USA for 28 days. Out of 20, India and South Africa are the only two unbeaten teams that reached the final summit after beating England and Afghanistan respectively.
Now the winner of the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 will be rewarded with $2.45 million and the runner will go home with $1.28 million. The other two losing semifinalists England and Afghanistan, will walk home with $787,500 each. The ICC has distributed the prize money even to teams who failed in the group stage.
There is additional money of $31,154 has been added for every team that won the match except the Semi-final and final. The T20 World Cup Man of the Match or Player of the Match prize money is also included in the match-winning prize. The same goes for the Man of the Series who will get his prize money in the T20 World Cup Final Post-Match ceremony.
The Final of SA vs IND will take place at Kingston Oval on Saturday 29th June starting at 8:00 PM IST.
