He hinted at it during the final league match of CSK in the IPL 2025, which was against Gujarat Titans. Raina was the face of the franchise, along with Dhoni, for almost 15 years.
He has an illustrious batting record in the IPL and understands the dynamics of the franchise. His knowledge about the game and his experience with the franchise make him a perfect fit in the side. Though he can come as a batting consultant for the next season.
