Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan has cleared the Yo-Yo Test at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE), scoring above 17. This latest fitness result confirms he is ready to return to cricketing action after being sidelined with injury.
Sarfaraz has been working hard on his fitness over the last year. Once criticized for not meeting BCCI’s standards, he has undergone a major transformation, reportedly shedding 17 kilograms. His latest Yo-Yo Test score not only meets but comfortably surpasses the BCCI’s benchmark of 16.5 for selection.

Despite his fitness progress, Sarfaraz faced a setback in September 2025 when he was ruled out of the Duleep Trophy with a quadriceps injury sustained during the Buchi Babu Tournament, where he had impressed with two consecutive centuries.
