After a long break, the Indian Cricket Team are ready to be back in action in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. They will be playing their first game against the United Arab Emirates on September 10. But before that, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) conducted a pre-season fitness camp for the Indian players at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
As per the latest developments, Indian players, including the Test captain Shubman Gill and ODI captain Rohit Sharma, have passed the fitness test. Not just two captains, but also ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Washington Sundar, have also passed the test. All these superstars are ready for the upcoming action.

According to PTI, all the above-mentioned players have successfully passed the test. Notably, the players underwent the newly introduced DXA scan, which is different from the previously held Yo-Yo test. The Yo-Yo test was used for the Indian team to assess the fitness standards for years.
The DXA scan includes a medical image, measuring body fat, muscle mass, and mineral density through low-dose X-rays to assess injury concerns. Notably, the Indian players are expected to reach the UAE for the Asia Cup 2025 soon. The test held was important for the test captain, Shubman Gill.
He withdrew from the ongoing Duleep Trophy due to fever after being named as the captain of the North Zone. However, he has passed the test and has also resumed batting practice. On the other hand, Rohit, who has retired from T20Is, will be trained and practice at CoE in Bengaluru.
He, along with Virat Kohli, is likely to be in action in November for the ODI series in Australia. Some reports also confirmed that Rohit might feature for India A for three unofficial ODIs against Australia A scheduled for September 30, October 3, and October 5, respectively.
