As per the reports by Mykhel, Sangakkara is the frontrunner for the role of RR head coach. Some reports also confirm that he was in discussion with Lucknow Super Giants for the same role.
But Dravid’s exit has opened the way for him. The RR franchise also approached the Sri Lankan legend, and it has been learned that it is almost certain that he will be getting appointed by the franchise. Hence, the official announcement can be made pretty soon.
The Sri Lankan legend has a smart head on his shoulders, and his inclusion can help RR to bring in smart strategies in their games. Sangakkara has worked in the Caribbean Premier League, The Hundred, and other renowned tournaments.
