The BCCI has not yet finalized plans for a victory parade to celebrate India’s historic Women’s World Cup 2025 win. Speaking to media, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said that celebrations will be planned only after officials return from the upcoming ICC meeting in Dubai, scheduled between November 4 and 7.
India’s women’s cricket team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, made history by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, to win their first-ever ICC Women’s ODI World Cup.
Saikia confirmed, “As of now, there are no plans for a victory parade. I am leaving for the ICC meeting in Dubai, along with other board officials. Once we return, we will plan the celebrations accordingly.”
He also added that the BCCI will raise the issue of the Asia Cup 2025 trophy, which India won but has not yet received. “We will take up the Asia Cup trophy matter with the ICC and hope that the trophy is returned to India with due respect,” Saikia stated.

India had defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 final held in Dubai. However, the team had refused to accept the trophy from ACC Chairman and Pakistan’s Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi, following political tensions between the two countries. Since then, the trophy has remained unreturned.
With their return from Dubai expected next week, the BCCI is likely to announce a felicitation ceremony or public celebration soon after. For now, the focus remains on the board’s official duties and resolving the Asia Cup trophy issue.
