The former cricketer and the politician Navjot Singh Sidhu is all set to make his return as a commentator in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024. Sidhu will be seen doing commentary for Star Sports in IPL 2024, starting from the opening match between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on 22nd March.
Sidhu has been one of the iconic commentators in India who is known for his one-liners and poetries during the commentary. His last commentary stint in IPL was in 2017, when the tournament used to Telecast on Sony Sports Network. Now, Sidhu is going to start his new stint with Star Sports as announced by the channel itself.
Star Sports announced the arrival of Navjot Singh Sidhu on their X (formerly known as Twitter) account with a caption

As soon as this announcement was made, the fans were enthralled as they were missing Sidhu’s iconic commentary in the IPL. After playing international cricket for India for almost 15 years, Sidhu bid adieu to the game in 1998 and started his new innings as a commentator during India’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2001. With time, he started immense love from the audience as a commentator due to his witty one-liners.
