Hyderabad: Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has taken charge of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the Telangana DGP Office. On Friday, October 11, in Telangana, Mohammed Siraj who hails from Hyderabad assumed the role of the DSP after reporting to the Director General of Police (DGP).
The cricketer expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as he was accompanied by the MP M. Anil Kumar Yadav, Hon’ble MP, and TGMREIS president Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi.

Siraj accepted the great honor as previously, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy promised a reputed Group-1 government position.
To make the official Telangana police also announced the news and stated,
“Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj has been appointed as Telangana’s DSP, honoring his cricket achievements and dedication to the state. He will continue his cricket career while inspiring many with his new role.”
So far Siraj has played 89 matches scalping 163 wickets with his 6/15 best bowling figure in all formats including ODI, T20I, and Test. Before Mohammed Siraj, many athletes received Group-1 honors in the police or the army like Ms Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, and Joginder Sharma.
