The former Indian captain and all time best opener Sunil Gavaskar’s statues along with Sharad Panwar who has served four terms as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra will be inaugurated on 23rd Aug. at 6:30 PM IST.
The museum will pay tribute to Gavaskar’s unbelievable history in which the organisers will represent his records, especially for the first batsman to pass 10,000 runs in Test cricket.
How Will Both Statues Look Like?
Sharad Panwar who founded the National Congress Party will be honored by his statues, holding a file in his hand, while Sunil Gavaskar’s statue showing his bat Sharad.Â
Both statues will represent their services in which one will show his leadership for MCA, BCCI and ICC as its chief, while another will show the all-time batsman who celebrates his Test innings and many more records.Â
What Can You See in a Museum?
Apart from Sharad and Gavaskar, the Museum will show the rich history of Indian cricket, especially Ranji Trophies, India ODI captain Rohit Sharma’s autographed jersey, Gavaskar’s cap etc. Dr Kanga Memorial Library which mostly covers Indian cricket history will also be inaugurated in this museum and people who like to watch India’s history in cricket will get a chance to see the museum.
