Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, former champions Gujarat Titans (GT) have made a major off-field announcement. The franchise has named Birla Estates, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Real Estate Limited (ABREL), as their new principal sponsor. This partnership marks a new beginning for the team led by Shubman Gill, which will enter the new season with a refreshed identity and brand-new jersey design.
The collaboration between Gujarat Titans and Birla Estates is set to go beyond a standard sponsorship deal – it represents a shared vision of excellence, innovation, and nationwide reach. With this partnership, the 2022 IPL champions aim to strengthen their brand image and continue their connection with fans both in India and abroad.
Dream11 Partnership Ends After Government Regulation Change
Until IPL 2025, fantasy sports platform Dream11 served as Gujarat Titans’ official principal sponsor. However, following the Indian government’s “Online Gaming Promotion and Regulation Bill, 2025” which banned real-money gaming platforms, Dream11 was forced to switch to a free-to-play model. This shift led the company to end its agreements with both the BCCI and Gujarat Titans, opening the door for a new long-term sponsor ahead of the 2026 season.
Earlier, electric vehicle brand Ather Energy had been the team’s main sponsor in 2022, during GT’s debut title-winning campaign. Now, with Birla Estates coming on board, the franchise looks to expand its influence into the real estate and lifestyle sector.
Officials React to the Partnership
Expressing his excitement, Colonel Arvinder Singh, COO of Gujarat Titans, said:
“Partnering with Birla Estates not only enhances the Gujarat Titans’ brand portfolio but also reflects our commitment to collaborating with iconic institutions that elevate our presence across geographies. Together, we look forward to creating unique experiences that strengthen our collective brand value and open new avenues for growth.”
Meanwhile, KT Jithendran, MD & CEO of Birla Estates, highlighted the emotional and cultural connection behind this partnership:
“This collaboration allows us to connect with millions of fans across India and beyond, celebrating shared values of passion, perseverance, and progress. Together, we look forward to building something truly special that resonates both on and off the field.”
Both organizations, however, have kept the financial details of the deal confidential.
The Gujarat Titans, who lifted the IPL 2022 title in their debut season, are entering a fresh chapter under their young captain Shubman Gill. After finishing third in IPL 2025, with 9 wins in 14 matches, the team looks confident heading into the IPL 2026 mini-auction.
With a new sponsor, new jersey, and new energy, the “Gill Brigade” is ready to make a strong comeback and aim for their second IPL title.
