Former Indian cricketer Paras Mhambrey has been appointed as the bowling coach of Mumbai Indians for the upcoming IPL season in 2025. Mhambrey was previously the assistant coach of the team and will now work hand in hand with the current bowling coach Lasith Malinga. These two cricketing experts will serve under the guidance of the current head coach of Mumbai Indians is Mahela Jayawardene.
Mhambrey has a strong coaching background, having been India’s bowling coach from 2021 until August this year. Paras has been a part of Indian team success including T20 World Cup trophy win in Caribbean. Mhambrey has vast coaching knowledge, he was also a part of Mumbai Indians’ team during their IPL 2013, and Champions League T20 title win in 2011.

Mhambrey was a right-arm medium pacer from Mumbai. He made his international debut for India against England in 1966. He has been a successful cricketer in his domestic career winning multiple titles with Mumbai.
The Mumbai Indians, who finished last in the IPL 2024 season with only four wins will be hoping for a strong comeback as they have built a good coaching staff for the upcoming IPL which now includes the experience of Paras Mhambrey as the bowling coach. He will assist in nurturing young talent as the team looks to regain its winning form.
