Sometimes in the top order and sometimes for the sake of the team, the finisher has adapted himself to all roles. He was the team captain for Kolkata Knight Riders and took the team to the IPL final. Has played well as a finisher for RCB this year, looks like he can still beat many juniors in terms of batting and wicket-keeping.
Karthik has played 257 matches so far in his IPL career, scoring 4842 runs at an average of around 22. He has 50 half-centuries. This year takes the role of great finishing. In 2024 IPL season still 15 matches played until now he has accumulated 326 runs, average 36.22, and strike rate 187+
