Team India remains no. 1 in the ICC Test team ranking, regardless of NZ vs AUS result. In the second test match, the Australian team clinched a victory over New Zealand and won the match by 3 wickets at Christchurch.
The ICC has released the updated points table after the NZ vs Aus matches on their official Twitter account.
Captioned said,
”Australia’s thrilling win in Christchurch has propelled them to the second spot in the #WTC25 standings”
However, it doesn’t affect the Team Blue’s Test Rankings in the ICC. Team Blue regained their No. 1 spot in the International Test Cricket after India defeated England with a 64-run in Dharamsala and won the five-match series 4-1.
From September 2023 to January 2024, India was in the top position in the Men’s Test Team rankings. Before that slippery draw of a 1-1 test series with South Africa which dethroned India from number rankings.
Now India regained their spot with their exceptional performances against England at Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharamsala, after a first defeat in Hyderabad.
With the current 122 rating points, India is sitting at the top of the ICC Ranking for Tests list and surpassed Australia securing 2nd position with 117 rating points. The third position is held by England (111 rating points) in the ICC Men’s Test rankings.
Team India is reigning supreme in all three formats Test, ODIs, and T20I in the ICC Team Ranking table. In Men’s ODI Team Rankings, India has 121 rating points whereas Australia is again following with its 118 rating points.
In ICC Men’s T20I Team rankings, India is dominating with 266 rating points in the table with England chasing behind with their 256 rating points in the list.
