India’s Batting: Shubman Gill Shines, Axar Finishes Strong
India started well with Abhishek Sharma (28) and Shubman Gill, who played a solid knock of 46 runs, missing his fifty by a small margin. Shivam Dube (22) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (20 off 10 balls) pushed the innings ahead with attacking intent.
Later, Axar Patel added crucial runs with an unbeaten 21 off 11 balls, helping India reach a competitive total.
Australia Collapse Despite a Good Start
Chasing 168, Australia began steadily with Mitchell Marsh (30) and Matthew Short (25).
However, their scoring rate remained slow, and once the first wicket fell, the pressure kept increasing.
From 67/1, Australia collapsed to 119 all out — losing their last 7 wickets for just 28 runs.
Sundar, Dube & Axar Destroy Australian Line-up
India’s bowlers showed brilliant discipline:
- Washington Sundar – 3 wickets
- Shivam Dube – 2 wickets
