Rival India took a 2022 semi-final T20 World Cup humiliation and sent back England led by Jos Buttler to home. India successfully defended their 171 target from English batters and won by 68 runs.

Who are the umpires for the T20 World Cup final 2024?
The ICC has announced the match officials for the T20 World Cup 2024 Final between India and South Africa. Chris Gaffaney and Richard Illingworth will be the on-field umpire during the SA vs IND Final match. For TV umpire ICC has selected Richard Kettleborough and Rodney Tucker. The match Referee will be Richie Richardson.
Both India and South Africa will come into the ring on Saturday 29th June at 8:00 PM IST. SA vs IND Final T20 World Cup match will take place at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
