Before the second and final Test match between India and West Indies, head coach Gautam Gambhir organized a special dinner party for Team India at his residence in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi. The evening turned into a perfect blend of camaraderie, laughter, and style — but it was young pacer Harshit Rana who stole the spotlight with his grand arrival.
Entire Team Arrived Together, But Harshit Stood Out
Around 8 PM on October 8, the entire Indian team reached Gambhir’s home in a team bus. Players like Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, Sai Sudharsan, Prasidh Krishna, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Devdutt Padikkal were seen arriving in casual outfits.

While most of the squad kept things simple, Harshit Rana made a hero-like entry, driving his black BMW to the venue. Dressed in a black outfit, the young pacer’s confident walk and stylish appearance grabbed all the limelight as cameras flashed around him.
Why Harshit Didn’t Come in the Team Bus
Harshit Rana is not part of the Test squad for the ongoing series against West Indies, which meant he couldn’t travel with the team due to BCCI protocol. However, being a Delhi boy and one of Gambhir’s trusted players from the IPL days, he was personally invited to the dinner by the head coach.

Since he’s not staying in the team hotel, the 23-year-old drove himself to the venue — a small detail that instantly made him the center of attention.
Harshit Rana’s Growing Presence Around Team India
Despite not featuring regularly in the playing XI, Harshit Rana has been a frequent face around Team India’s camps. His consistent inclusion in multiple series squads has raised eyebrows among fans and former cricketers.

Former selector Kris Srikkanth even joked, “With so many changes happening, Harshit Rana seems to be the only permanent member in the Indian team setup.”
Who All Attended the Dinner
The star-studded gathering featured the entire Indian Test squad and the support staff. Players enjoyed a relaxed evening before the upcoming second Test match at Arun Jaitley Stadium, starting October 10.
Gambhir’s dinner reportedly aimed to strengthen team bonding ahead of the crucial fixture, where India will look to seal a 2-0 series win after their dominant victory in the Ahmedabad Test.
India Aims for Clean Sweep
In the first Test, India defeated West Indies by an innings and 140 runs, with Ravindra Jadeja producing a match-winning performance. Heading into the Delhi Test, India will look to maintain their momentum and complete a clean sweep.
