BCCI Secretary Jai Shah made special arrangements for the development of cricket in the North East region of India

Organized special indoor sports training in 6 regions of North East India Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and major cities of Sikkim states like Shillong, Itanagar, Kohima, Aizawl, Imphal, Gangtok.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah on Monday launched state-of-the-art indoor training facilities in 6 states of North East India. There are special gyms, playing fields, swimming pools, world-class indoor nets where they can play cricket.

It is very difficult for North East Indian players to play cricket during the monsoons. They lack suitable grounds, and it is very difficult during monsoons. Then they have to go to practice in stadiums in different states of the country. They choose Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, or Ahmedabad centers for training.

So, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said _

“BCCI has come forward for their development, so that North East Indian players are also established by playing well. So good equipment has been arranged for them so that they can improve by playing in their stadiums in their area. They have promised to do more in the future”.

Cricketers from Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim will get special facilities due to world-class indoor net, indoor swimming pool, fitness center for gym.

The proposal was made in the annual meeting of North East India in December 2022,which was attended by Jai Shah and Abhishek Dalmiya,President of North East India. It was accepted that the world-class indoor stadium, world-class indoor gym, swimming pool will be done in 6 states of North East India in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim. And accordingly, the day is fixed.

Accordingly, a tender was called, all were invited to apply for tenders according to their qualifications and conditions. It is said that those who are interested in the RFP, and those who meet the conditions are eligible to bid, and the rest are cancelled.

Their players are playing excellent cricket in Mizoram, so special pavilions are being made for them, the stadium is being enlarged, and many spectators are being seated. Meanwhile, BCCI has fixed many areas in Bengaluru, Karnataka state for cricket academy, so that the cricketers get all the facilities.
