India rising pace star Arshdeep Singh has etched his name in history books during the Asia Cup 2025 group stage clash against Oman in Abu Dhabi. The 26-year-old left-arm fast bowler became the first-ever Indian bowler to claim 100 wickets in T20 internationals, achieving the milestone in just his 64th match.
With this, Arshdeep has not only led India pace attack with pride but also joined the elite list of the fastest bowlers to reach the 100-wicket mark in world T20I cricket.
India fielded a slightly changed lineup, giving Arshdeep his first chance in the tournament. He bowled a tight last over and dismissed Vinayak Shukla, reaching the 100-wicket landmark.
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson 56-run knock earned him the Player of the Match, as India topped Group A unbeaten, securing a place in the Super Four.

- His knock of 56 (41 balls) included 3 sixes, taking his career T20 sixes tally to 353, surpassing MS Dhoni 350.
- With this innings, Samson also became the first Indian wicketkeeper to win Player of the Match thrice in T20Is.
After defeating UAE, Pakistan, and Oman in the group stage, India qualified for the Super Four as Group A leaders. They will now face Pakistan on September 21, 2025, in a much-awaited blockbuster clash. The top two teams from the Super Four will contest the final on September 28 in Dubai.
