With a 15-year-long international cricket career, West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has announced his retirement from all formats, confirming that he will play his final two T20I matches for the national team against Australia at his home ground, Sabina Park in Jamaica, on July 20 and 22, 2025.
The 37-year-old Jamaican powerhouse, known for his explosive batting and impactful bowling, made the announcement shortly after being named in the squad for the five-match T20I series against Australia. Cricket West Indies confirmed that Russell’s inclusion was based on “performance merit,” recognising him as one of the most influential T20 players globally.
