Yuvraj Singh has always been more than a cricketer. For India, he was a match-winner. For the new generation, he is becoming a guide. After helping Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma polish their games – a partnership that has set the Asia Cup 2025 on fire — Yuvraj has turned his focus to Punjab Kings’ promising pair, Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya.
Punjab Kings recently posted a training picture of the two youngsters with Yuvraj, captioned simply: “Learning from the #YuvrajSingh.” It was a quiet reminder that the franchise young guns are now under the wing of a legend who knows how to win big matches.

Priyansh Arya burst onto the scene with his record of hitting six consecutive sixes in the Delhi Premier League. That performance got him noticed instantly, and Punjab Kings backed him with a ₹3.80 crore deal in IPL 2025.
The left-hander justified the price tag with 475 runs in 17 innings at a strike rate of 179.24. He followed it up in DPL 2025 with another strong season, scoring 303 runs in eight matches at an average of 37.88 and a strike rate of 166.48. His fearless batting has already made him a fan favorite.
If Priyansh is about explosive talent, Prabhsimran Singh represents steady growth. Since IPL 2023, he has been building season after season. He made 358 runs in IPL 2023, added 354 in 2024, and then had his best run in IPL 2025 with 549 runs from 17 innings, including four fifties.
At just 25, he has already shown he can carry the batting order and is one of Punjab most reliable performers.
What exactly does Yuvraj bring? Not just advice, but lived experience. He’s the man who hit six sixes in an over, won India World Cups, and knows how to handle pressure on the biggest stages. Gill and Abhishek often credit him for fine-tuning their strokeplay and helping them understand match situations better. Now, Prabhsimran and Priyansh are getting the same mentorship.
Training under Yuvraj means long hours in the nets, small corrections in technique, and conversations about mindset. These are the things fans don’t always see, but they’re often the difference between being talented and being match-winners.
Punjab Kings have long searched for consistency at the top of the order. If Prabhsimran steady hand combines with Priyansh explosiveness – under Yuvraj guidance – PBKS could finally get the solid starts that define championship runs.
Yuvraj doesn’t have an official title with the franchise, but his influence is clear. He’s not mentoring for money or position – he’s doing it out of passion for grooming India’s next crop of stars.
