The 2023 FedEx Cup winner Viktor Hovland shut down all the LIV Golf joining rumors and denied the news.
The PGA Tour Star golfer Viktor finally spoke about the rumors of him joining the LIV Golf funded by the PIF Saudi Arabia. For the past few weeks, Norwegian star Hovland has been rumored to join the LIV Golf.
However, in a recent interview with Tom Resenvinge, the head of communication for the Norwegian Golf Association, Viktor Hovland cleared the air with his two-word reply.
According to Norsk Golf, Hovland said “Not True” without hesitation when he was asked about the rumors that is he going to join LIV Golf or not. Via Flushing’s X post (formerly known as Twitter) also shared the news on their official account.
The tweet said, “Yesterday, the head of communications for the Norwegian Golf Association contacted Viktor Hovland to see if there was any truth to LIV rumours, and he refuted them. Viktor was the target to be an equity stakeholder in the Cleeks, but LIV have missed out on their man.”
All this misunderstanding of golfers joining LIV golf was created after, Viktor Hovland’s two weeks absence from the PGA Tour. Which instigated the rumors that Viktor Hovland is going to join the LIV Golf.
But soon fans will watch the current no. 4-ranked golfer Viktor Hovland in the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Tournament is scheduled for 1st to 4th Feb 2024 at Pebble Beach Golf Course in California.
