WPL 2025 RCB Retained Players List: The Women’s Premier League is moving to its third edition, and the WPL has become a global hit with just two editions in women’s cricket. The WPL 2025 is likely to be even grander, and it will bring more superstars to feature in the competition. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the second edition under the leadership of Smriti Mandhana, and they will be defending their title in the WPL 2025.
The next edition is expected to be held in February–March 2025. The preparation for the next edition has begun, and all five franchises have revealed the list of retained and released players. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have also revealed the list of players they want to retain. The reigning champions have retained 14 players from the last season who helped them to win the title.

RCB has submitted their list, and they have kept the core players for the WPL 2025. Smirit Mandhana will be leading the squad once again, and it will have a similar set of players that were there last season. Apart from captain, there are some capped Indian stars like Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil, Asha Sobhana, Renuka Singh, and Ekta Bisht who have been retained.
They have also retained most of their overseas stars which played for them in the last two seasons. Ellyse Perry, Sophie Molineux, Sophie Devine, Georgia Wareham, and Kate Cross are on this list. Meanwhile, Danni Wyatt is also part of the squad, as she was traded in from UP Warrioz. However, the franchise has decided to release the South African all-rounder Nadine de Klerk with the other five Indian women’s stars.
