WPL GG Retained Players List 2025: The third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025) will bring many changes to all five squads. After the success of the first two editions, the WPL 2025 will come with a lot of expectations. Before that, all five franchies had some hard decisions to make. The last date to submit the list of retentions was November 7 (Thursday), and all five teams have revealed the names of the players whom they want to retain.
Owned by Adani Sportsline, Gujarat Giants have also made the announcement for their retained players. The franchise has stuck with their star players, with captain Beth Mooney and her Australian teammate Ashleigh Gardner among the first-choice retention for the franchise. GG has retained 11 players for the WPL 2025.

Gujarat Giants (GG) have not been able to crack the code in the WPL. Despite having some big names in women’s T20I cricket, they have finished both seasons at the bottom of the table. However, the franchise has still decided to maintain an almost similar set of players, with Mooney and Gardner to be their top priorities. They have also retained Phoebe Litchfield, who joined them in 2024.
However, associate player Kathryn Bryce has been released from the team. Sneh Rana and Veda Krishnamurthy are the two Indian capped stars to be released. Laura Wolvaardt and Lauren Cheatle are the other two overseas retentions for the franchise. Among the Indian capped players, they have retained Dayalan Hemalatha, Harleen Deol, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh. GG has the purse value left of INR 4.4 crore.
