Three Batsmen to Look out for Today: RCB vs UP in WPL 2024
Let’s look at the three players to watch out for in today’s match:
1: Vrinda Dinesh (UP Warriorz)
The Karnataka player became the second most expensive uncapped player in league history after UP roped her in for a whopping Rs. 1.3 crore in the auction. She performed impressively in the last two domestic seasons. She played a crucial role in Karnataka’s journey to the final of the women’s one-day tournament. She emerged as the tournament’s fifth-highest run scorer with 477 runs in 11 innings. She will remain in the limelight throughout the season due to her hefty price tag.
2: Shreyanka Patil (RCB)
Known for her bowling prowess, Patil can also be impactful with the bat in the lower order. Formerly the leading wicket-taker for the franchise in the inaugural WPL season, he scalped six wickets in seven matches at an average of 32.00. She was also impressed with the bat, scoring 62 runs at a staggering strike rate of 151.21. The franchise has a lot of hope that the player will shine this season.
3: Shweta Sehrawar (UP Warriorz)
Shweta was one of the players retained by the franchise from the last edition. She was the tallest run scorer in the U-19 World Cup and the captain of the India A team that won the Emerging Asia Cup in Hong Kong. UP Warriorz skipper Alyssa Healy also expressed hope that Sehrawat will excel this season.
