WCPL 2024: This blog contains the complete Women’s Caribbean Premier League winners list including the Player of the Match and Tournament from 2022 to 2024.
The 3rd Edition of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) is set to commence from the 21st to the 29th of August 2024. WCPL is a T20 domestic cricket league of Women based on the Men’s Caribbean Premier League, WCPL is also organized by the Cricket West Indies (CWI).
Inaugurated in 2022, WCPL is one of the action-packed T20 leagues where the pitch often favors the bowlers most resulting in low-scoring matches. The tournament has already gained popularity across the global platform. And now ready for the WCPL 2024 which is the 3rd season of the tournament.
This month once again Women’s Caribbean Premier League will take place when defending champion Barbados Royals Women fights with Guyana Amazon Warriors Women in the season-opening match.
Who will be the WCPL 2024 winner only time will tell as the series will go on further. The three teams, like in the previous season, fight for the WCPL 2024 Trophy.
In the 7 total matches including the WCPL Final, teams will lock horns with each other twice to become the top two teams. The final match of WCPL is set to be hosted by Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba. Women’s Caribbean Premier League Player of the Match and player of the season
In the Inaugural season of WCPL 2022, Deandra Dottin won both Players of the Match in the Final and Player of the Tournament for her excellent innings. In the final against TKR captain Deandra Dottin bagged 59 off 62 balls.
For WCPL 2023, BRW captain Hayley Matthews won the Player of the Match for 82 off 59 balls and also scalped 2 wickets for 38 runs.
