Sri Lanka Women and India Women will face off against each other at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on May 4 at 10 AM IST. It will be the fourth ODI match of the ongoing Sri Lanka Women Tri-Nation Series. As both teams are coming off a recent victory, it will be challenging for them to move up the ranks.
Looking at the toss results for Sri Lanka Women vs India Women in recent ODI matches, India Women won the toss on two occasions and both times converted it into a victory. On the other hand, Sri Lanka Women were able to win the toss in three matches, but couldn’t get a single victory. Notably, all of the last five ODI matches between SL W and IND W were won by IND W. In their most recent match, India Women got the toss in their favour and opted to field first. Eventually, SL W lost the match as IND W posted 149-1 while chasing in 29.4 overs.
Talking about the ongoing tournament, SL W skipper Chamari Athapaththu won the toss in only one match and secured a victory. So far, SL W have played two games, out of which they won and lost one each. Whereas IND W skipper won the toss in two matches, and now they take the lead in the standings after winning both matches. So, in today’s match, both skippers will be eyeing the toss outcome in their favour to progress in the tournament.
