Riding on a dream match-winning streak, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru in Match No. 58 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. For this IPL match, KKR are traveling to Bengaluru to take revenge in a reverse fixture as the away team, taking place on May 17, starting at 7:30 PM IST. While RCB have reaffirmed their form, being seen at second spot in the points table, KKR are starving for a victory to end the 18th edition of IPL 2025 on a positive note.
In previous RCB vs KKR clashes, RCB won the toss four times, but etched victory only once. Whereas, KKR won the match after winning the toss in only one game. In a most recent match between these franchises, RCB won, claiming both the toss and victory, closing the match after winning it by 7 wickets against KKR at Eden Gardens in IPL 2025.
Talking about the ongoing IPL season, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar is going through the most fortunate time as he has won the toss on three occasions and won all the matches. Even after losing the toss two times, RCB registered a victory in both games. On the other hand, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss three times and claimed victory in only one match. Similarly, Rahane lost the toss in two matches, but found one victory. So, in today’s IPL match, winning the toss will matter for both the captains.
