Mumbai Indians will host Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 20th Match of IPL 2025 at their home ground, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, starting on April 7 at 7:30 PM. It is evident that MI are not in touch with the kind of form with which they conquered five IPL titles. On the other hand, RCB’s winning streak has taken a pause. Both franchises are standing on pivot point, aiming to win the next match to compensate for the previous loss.
After playing 4 matches, MI won just 1 game and lost 3, resulting in only 2 points. In the last match, LSG gave tough competition at Ekana Cricket Stadium, jumping to 203/8 in their 20 overs after the invitation by MI for Super Giants to bat first. MI skipper Hardik Pandya picked up the form, getting five wickets, but it was not enough to restrict the home team to a relatively low score. In reply, Suryakumar Yadav took charge with the bat and finished his 67-run inning off 43 balls. However, the MI campaign missed the target, marginally losing the match by 12 runs. In MI vs RCB, the home team will think of moving ahead from the indigestible loss.
Royal Challengers played 3 matches, winning 2 and losing 1, to get 4 points and a desirable position among the top four teams in IPL 2025. In the last match, RCB had to face a one-sided defeat at their home ground M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, against GT as the target of 170 was successfully chased by the away team. After the failure of top-order Liam Livingstone rescued the team with his 54 off 40 balls, including 5 maximums. However, no other bowler could get a wicket apart from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood. It is not too late for RCB to get back on the winning track.
