Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Match No. 61 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on May 19. While LSG have slim chances to enter the play-offs, SRH have already been knocked out of the tournament. It will be their second match this season, starting at 7:30 PM IST.
Interestingly, SRH lost all three matches after the toss outcome slipping out of hand in five clashes from IPL 2022 to IPL 2025. Conversely, LSG won the toss in the other two games and converted one into a victory. In a recent match this season, LSG decided to field first after winning the toss at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Eventually, LSG turned out as a winner, taking the match away from SRH after winning it by 5 wickets.
Talking about the current season, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss thrice, but won only one match. After losing the toss twice, the team couldn’t win a single match. On the other hand, SRH skipper Pat Cummins could win the toss twice, but the team won only one match. After losing the toss in the other three recent matches, the team could win only once. So, in today’s IPL match, winning the toss will be crucial for both the captains.
