Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match No. 26 at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on April 12, starting at 3:30 PM IST. In the previous two clashes, LSG secured victory, squaring off dominance both at their home and away grounds. Whereas, GT are leader in the points table 2025, coming off four back-to-back wins with consistent outcomes at all venues.Â
After playing five games, LSG won 3 and lost 2 to get 6 points. A few days ago, LSG roared with a 4-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders after posting 238/3 in 20 overs. The opener Mitchell Marsh, who took the role of an impact player, gave the team a fiery start, scoring 81 off 48 balls. In addition, Orange Cap holder Nicholas Pooran was once again fierce, inching closer to a strike rate of 250. The fortunes were on the side of LSG, who took the victory out of the jaws of defeat. In the next meeting against GT, LSG will test their efforts against another team for which the IPL 2025 season is proving to be a blessing.
On the other hand, GT have won 4 games and lost just 1 out of five fixtures. As of now, GT have acquired the first spot in the points table, repeating the kind of form they exhibited in the initial two seasons. It was reflected in the recent match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where GT comfortably chased down 153 at the loss of 3 wickets and 20 balls remaining. GT skipper Shubman Gill once again performed, hitting as many as 61 runs off 43 balls to take the credit for a dream-winning streak, producing the highest net run rate and joint-highest 8 points, sharing it with 2nd-ranked Delhi Capitals. In the next clash, GT will eye on retaining the first position in the points table.
