TNPL- A franchise based men’s twenty twenty tournament which is played annually in the state of Tamil Nadu, India and is one of the regional domestic leagues of India. Founded in 2016, this league emerged partly due to the temporary suspension of the Chennai Super Kings from IPL. The main aim of its inaugural was to provide a platform to young players to showcase their skills and potentially grow.
With the current eight season to unfold, TNPL 2024 is all set to launch on 5th July 2024 for another successful season after completion of the past 7 editions.
Among 8 other domestic franchises the main team to look ahead in the tournament is Trichy Grand Cholas. With the squad of bowlers, batters and all rounders this team is ready to showcase a top-tier cricket talent from the region.
With the squad filled with talented players skilled in both batting and bowling. N Mohammed Ashik, a 26-year-old right-handed wicket-keeper batsman, and Arjun Murthy, a 22-year-old right-handed top-order batsman and right-arm off break bowler, lead the batting lineup. The bowling attack is formidable, featuring specialists like J Reijin, K Eswaran, Atishyaraj Davidson, P Saravana Kumar, Arya Yohan Menon, Shyam Sundar, and Kannan Vignesh, each bringing unique skills to the team.
