The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 is set to explode onto the scene in July! This year marks the season’s eighth edition and will be a complete powerhouse of high octane cricket entertainment. With a total of 8 teams participating this year starting off from 5th July TNPL is set to provide you with a whole month of nonstop cricketing action till the Finale of the tournament on the 4th August 2024.
The league stage will see teams clash in a round-robin format across five electrifying venues in four different cities of Tamil Nadu. Witness the beginning of the tournament with the initial matches in Salem city followed by Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, and Dindigul. The culmination of the league stage and the first two playoff games, including the much-anticipated Qualifier 1, will take place in Dindigul. Finally, Chennai’s iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium will play host to the thrilling Qualifier 2 and the grand finale on August 4th.

In the Latest edition of the TNPL 2023, G Ajitesh and KB Arun karthik emerged as the players who scored most hundreds for the respective season. G Ajitesh played 10 matches during the tournament, maintaining a stellar average of 64.16. He scored a total of 385 runs, including one century with a highest score of 112, at a remarkable strike rate of 163.13. On the other hand, KB Arun Karthik also scored one century in his 10 innings, amassing 263 runs at an average of 29.22 and a strike rate of 165.40. His highest score was an unbeaten 104.
Most Hundreds Scored in TNPL 2022
Several players have showcased exceptional batting performances in the TNPL 2022 season, total of the three players have emerged as the the most hundred scoring players.with M Vijay, KB Arun Karthik, and R Sanjay Yadav standing out for scoring centuries.
M Vijay, representing RTW, played four matches and amassed 224 runs at an impressive average of 56.00. His highest score was 121, achieved at a striking rate of 172.30.
KB Arun Karthik, playing for SMP, scored 293 runs in eight innings with a century to his name, averaging 41.85 at a strike rate of 127.39. His highest score was 106. Meanwhile, R Sanjay Yadav from Nellai Royal Kings played nine matches, amassing a total of 452 runs with a phenomenal average of 90.40. With the ferocious strike rate of 186.77 he has also hit an unbeatable score of 103 in the same league tournament where he played against Royal Trichy Warriors. He scored one century with an unbeaten 103 as his highest, maintaining a blistering strike rate of 186.77.
Most Hundreds Scored in TNPL 2021
The TNPL 2021 season saw no hundreds as not a single batsman was able to score a century in the same tournament season. Failing to emerge as players with most number of hundred, N Jadeesan emerged as the player to record a highest individual score of 95 (INTERNAL LINKING) he could have made it to a score of 100 but then was bowled out by Sharun kumar before he could make it to a century lifting his helmet and celebrating the hundred on the ground.

Murali Vijay, KB Arun karthik and N Jagdeesan emerged as the players who scored most hundreds in TNPL 2019. M Vijay, representing RTW (Ruby Trichy Warriors), played four matches and amassed 359 runs at an exceptional average of 119.66. His highest score of 101 came at a striking rate of 148.96.
KB Arun Karthik playing for the Salem Spartans has amassed a total of 356 runs playing in the 9 innings at an average of 44.50. His century with 106 runs came against LKK.

KM Gandhi emerged as the standout performer who with his exceptional batting prowess made a record for scoring most hundreds in the TNPL 2018 Season.
He accumulated a total of 239 runs at an impressive average of 39.83, with his highest score being an unbeaten 111 runs. Gandhi’s ability to anchor innings and accelerate when required was evident from his strike rate of 148.44, indicating his capability to maintain a healthy scoring rate while building substantial innings.

Three players made a hundred in the second edition of the tournament in the TNPL 2017.
R Rohith, K Bharath Shankar, and Washington Sundar stood out as exceptional batsmen, each scoring a century and leaving a significant impact on the tournament. R Rohith, representing LKK (Lyca Kovai Kings), showcased consistency and power-hitting ability, scoring 186 runs in 7 matches at an impressive average of 62.00. His unbeaten 102* was his highest score, achieved at a striking rate of 151.21.
The second player in the series to score a hundred is k Bharath Shankar playing for Ruby Trichy Warriors he made a notable score of 112 marking the season highest individual score, he amassed a total of 265 runs in 7 innings at an average of 44.16.
Washington Sundar, representing TP (Tuti Patriots), had a standout season with the bat, amassing a total of 459 runs in 9 matches at a phenomenal average of 76.50. His century knock of 107 was instrumental in several match-winning performances, showcasing his ability to dominate bowling attacks with a strike rate of 154.54.

In the inaugural season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) in 2016, B Aparajith emerged as one of the standout performers with his exceptional batting displays. Representing his team throughout the season for VB Thiruvallur Veerans he accumulated a total of the 293 runs at a impressive average of 97.66 and made his hundred with the unbeaten score of 118, which is also his highest individual score for the season Aparajith’s ability to score quickly is evident from his impressive strike rate of 175.44.
