The state of Tamil Nadu is all set to host the eighth edition of the Tamil Nadu premier League(TNPL) 2024. Featuring a total of eight teams for this edition, the domestic TNPL T20 league will unite cricket fans from July 5 to August 4, spanning five cities across the state. Sponsored by the Shriram Group, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) is responsible for managing and organizing the tournament.
Among these the 8 TNPL Teams, Chepauk Super Gillies are a team to wait and watch as they stand out as the most successful team of the tournament with four titles in their name.
Their home ground is the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Hemang Badani serves as the coach, while the captain for the 2024 season has yet to be announced. In the 2023 season, Narayan Jagadeesan was the top run-scorer with 385 runs, and Lakshminarayanan Vignesh was the top wicket-taker with 17 wickets. The team launched its logo, jersey, squad anthem, and music video in a grand event in 2017 and has been a dominant force in the TNPL since the league’s inception in 2016.
