The World Test Championship 2025 Final is scheduled at Lords in England in June. The 3rd edition of WTC 2023-2025 commenced with the reigning champion Australia taking on England in the 2023 Ashes series which began on 16 June 2023. The 2023 WTC Finalist India started their season with a two-test match series against West Indies.
Like the last edition, the World Test Championship Series will also take over two years of span to complete the tournament. So far, ICC has successfully organized 2 World Test Championships with New Zealand’s maiden winner and Australia winning the last 2021-2023 edition.
The World Test Championship 2025 is an ongoing ICC Test event that takes place for 2 years hosting a Test series in different venues in different countries. WTC 2025 Format and Teams
A total of 9 teams are participating in the current World Test Championship including T20 World Cup Champion India, defending champion Australia (WTC 2023 winner), and WTC 2025 final host England. Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Afghanistan are the three full members of the ICC Test Cricket format who are not participating in the WTC 2023-2025.

To simplify the World Test Championship is one of the longest ICC events which is played over the 2 years of span. During this time all 9 participating teams play 27 Test series consisting of 69 games. Each team has to participate in 6 Test series out of 3 are home series and the remaining 3 will be home-away test series. After every series teams get points which will be discussed later in the World Test Championship Points table. The top two teams become the finalists and battle for the World Test Championship Trophy in June 2025 at Lords in England.

With 68.51 PCT India is leading in the world Test Championship 2023-2025 points table. Defending champion Australia is right behind India with 90 points from 12 matches and 62.5 PCT.
Unlike other ICC events where teams get 2 points for a win, WTC 2023-2025 get 12 points for a win, 4 for a draw and 6 for a tie. Here PCT, a Points Percentage System is the way to calculate the leading team in the chart. To calculate PCT, the points won by the team are divided by the points contested and multiplied by 100 to get the percentage.
