After a disappointing loss in the first Test in Hyderabad, the hosts India will be looking to make a comeback against England in the ongoing five-match Test series by winning the second Test at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam starting from 2nd February. India were looking in a comfortable position to win the first Test with 190-run lead in the first innings, but let the game slip away from their hands and were given a target of 231 runs by England, who scored 420 runs in their second innings, powered by Ollie Pope’s heroic 196 runs. The Men in Blue failed to chase the winning total and were bowled out for 202 runs losing the game by 28 runs.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma couldn’t make an impact in the first Test as he got out at the scores of 24 and 39 in both innings respectively. He gave quick starts to the team but couldn’t convert them into a big knock. Now, the Indian fans will be hoping for Rohit to play a captain’s knock in Vizag and help India to level the series by 1-1. The opening batter also has great stats while batting at the Dr. Y.S.
