The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming Two-Test series against India starting on September 19.
The selection board committee shows faith in skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto who also led the squad in a successful triumph over Pakistan last week. The Bangladesh Squad is more or less similar to the Pakistan beating Team in the Two test match series. The only change BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) made is to replace pacer Shoriful Islam with uncapped keeper-batter Jaker Ali Anik who is making his Test debut. Jaker Ali impressed the selection team with his century in a Bangladesh A against Pakistan A and cemented his place into the nation-side team.
Meanwhile, where Shoriful Islam was ruled out from the series due to injury, opening batter Mahmadul Hasan Joy made his comeback after missing out on the previous Pakistan Test series.

The first Test match of India vs Bangladesh is set to take place at M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai starting on 19 September while the second Test Match will be held in Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium on 27 September.
