The Karnataka Premier League or KPL has been replaced by the new name Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 due to several betting and match-fixing scandals in 2022. Now the domestic T20 cricket leagues have been reorganized as Maharaja Trophy T20 KSCA in honor of the last king of Mysore, the Late Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodiyar.
Currently, Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024 has been running its 3rd edition under the new name. Still organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association, six teams are competing with each other in the running tournament. These six teams are as follows-
- Bengaluru Blasters
- Mysore Warriors
- Mangalore Dragons
- Hubli Tigers
- Gulbarga Mystics
- Shivamogga Strikers
All these six teams will face each other twice in the League stage match. Only the top four teams will reach the semifinal where the top two finalists will lock horns on September 1st, 2024.
