Shakib Al Hasan is the most experienced player in Bangladesh. The former captain has been playing since the inaugural T20 World Cup 2007 and has won many games on his own for his team. Though his form is not good at the moment with his stature, he just needs one good innings. This pitch is good for batting and he might look to get back his batting form. However, there are a few good bowlers in the Netherlands and Paul van Meekeren is one of them. The right-arm pacer has dismissed Shakib twice in international cricket in two meetings and 9 balls. 2. Max O’Dowd vs Mustafizur Rahman
Max ODowd has scored the most runs for the Netherlands in this tournament. He registered a match-winning win against Nepal in the opening game to help his team win. He will be the big wicket because the venue is good and he will look to settle himself in to play big innings. Max has immense experience playing across the world and in T20 leagues. But he will be up against Bangladesh’s premier pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who is bowling incredibly well. The Dutch batter struggles against the ball that comes in and Mustafizur can do that and also has different types of slow ones. Hence, this battle will be very important in this game which can also effect the result.
3. Mahmudullah vs Bas de Leede
Mahmudullah is an vital cog of Bangladesh’s batting unit. The veteran batter bats at a position when the team needs quick runs. He missed out on taking his team to win against South Africa when he mistimed the ball from Maharaj and got out. But he will be looking to do well this time around and can add important runs in the last few overs. However, he will be up against Bas de Leede, the all-rounder. De Leede has been doing well for the Netherlands in white-ball format with bat and the ball. His key role with the ball is to bowl well in the final overs and that is where he will bowl to Mahmudullah. So this will be a good battle in the middle and final overs of the game. He has dismissed Mahmudullah once in the ODIs.
