Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York Pitch Report Ahead of IND vs IRE
At first, it looked like Nassau County Stadium’s pitch would be more batter-friendly, and the team who batted first had higher chances of winning. However, it can’t be said after the SL vs SA low-scoring match at Nassau County Stadium. In the very first game where Sri Lanka’s team was expecting 160-170 runs. The whole team was sent back to the pavilion scoring only 77 runs in 19.1 overs by Protease bowlers.
According to the reports, soil for the drop-in pitches was imported from Adelaide, Australia and it was claimed that the conditions of the pitches are more likely to be similar to Adelaide Oval. But the first match results tell a different story that the pitch is more bowlers friendly than the batters. Although, the stadium is still new and it was the only first game. Let’s hope the upcoming match of India vs Ireland brings some more action at Nassau County Cricket Stadium in New York.
