The 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup has moved to the UAE starting from 3rd October to 20th October. The tournament was initially scheduled to be held in Bangladesh.
With the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 schedule, one-time champion England has announced their 15-player squad.
Once again the England Cricket Board selected Heather Knight as captain of the England Women’s Team ahead of the 9th edition of the T20 World Cup 2024.
The Board has also awarded the strongest players based on their performances from the recent Domestic T20 league Hundred competition. Best players like Linsey Smith (spinner), Lauren Bell (pacer), Dani Gibson (allrounder), and Bess Heath (wicketkeeper-batter) all got a chance in the final squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup squad.
England Women’s team will have their season-opening match against the Bangladesh Women’s Team at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 5th starting at 3:30 PM IST. England is in Group B along with Bangladesh, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland.
