After a dominating outing in the last three games, the hosts India are set to take on Bangladesh for their fourth fixture at the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. India are currently at the top of the points table with consecutive wins against Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan respectively.
The Indian team looked balanced in all departments in previous games. Along with this, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been in an great form and is currently the leading run-scorer for India in the ongoing tournament. After getting out for a duck in an opening match against Australia, Rohit reverted back with a knock of 131 runs against Afghanistan as chased the target of 273 runs in just 35 overs. While, he turned out to be a top scorer again against the arch-rivals Pakistan as he got out after scoring 86 runs in a chase of 192.
Now, talking about the upcoming match, fans will be expecting Rohit to big against Bangladesh as the veteran batter has already great records against them in the ODI World Cup. Having played just two games against Bangladesh in the marquee event, Rohit has amassed centuries in both games and scored 241 runs in two innings. However, the 36-year-old doesn’t have a great record while at the MCA stadium in Pune, having scored just 161 runs from eight innings he played on the venue across formats. Now, in the upcoming game, Rohit will be looking to change the stats on that ground against one of his favorite opponents in the World Cup.
