Easily one of the greatest openers across formats, Rohit Sharma lives life to the fullest. He doesn’t care what other people think, and that makes him an individual who is very different from others. Just when people start doubting him, Rohit keeps on shutting their mouths with blistering knocks and blazing sixes.
Rohit has been with the Mumbai Indians for more than a decade and has taken them to glory as many as five times in these years. Hence, it is unsurprising that he has made plenty of money through brand endorsements and commercial advertisements during this period, apart from earning through BCCI’s central contracts.
Rohit has achieved tremendous success for both club and country, making him one of the best in the business when it comes to cricket. He was part of India’s squad when the Men in Blue won the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa under the leadership of MS Dhoni. He almost took India to another World Cup glory last year as well, but only before Travis Head had other ideas to give billions of ardent Indian fans, as well as Rohit & Co., a heartbreak.
However, it doesn’t change the fact that Rohit has made plenty of money through IPL salaries, advertisements, and being the brand ambassador of many popular brands, including Dream 11. Sometimes, it becomes beyond imagination for anyone to think about how much money they make, or are still making through these sources.
So what do people do when they have a significant amount of money? It’s very simple, fulfill your lifelong wishes. Rohit is no different in this case, as he has brought plenty of luxurious cars into his garage apart from investing in them in other dreams.
In this article, we will discuss what cars Rohit has and when he started buying them.

1. Skoda Laura – INR 12.5 Lakh
Rohit’s first-ever car was a mid-sized Sedan named Skoda Laura, which was launched in 2009. Back then, the then-youngster bought it for INR 12.5 lakh. It was a five-seater Sedan and also had a comfortable cabin. Here, a peak torque of 320 Nm, and a maximum power of 138 BHP were produced by a 2-litre TDI turbo diesel engine.
2. Toyota Fortuner – INR 32.5 lakh
The Toyota Fortuner, a mid-size SUV, was Rohit’s next purchase, which cost him INR 32.5 lakh. This, also known as SW4, has been set up by the popular Japanese manufacturer Toyota since 2004. There are three rows of seats in Rohit’s Fortuner, and it has a four-wheel drive configuration.
3. BMW X3 – INR 61.9 lakh
Rohit’s focus then shifted to luxury car brands. His 2.0 version started with the BMW X3, a luxury compact SUV, which he purchased for INR 61.9 lakh. This has been manufactured since 2003, and it’s a mid-size premium SUV available on the market.
Considering the fact that the BMW X3 won the Canadian Car of the Year Best Sports Utility Vehicle award for 2005, Rohit probably started his luxury car collection with this one.
4. Mercedes GLS 400d – INR 1.19 Crore
After the BMW X3, Rohit brought a Mercedes GLS 400d into his house at a whopping price of INR 1.19 crore. From a mid-size SUV, Rohit shifted to a full-size luxury SUV by buying this one. This also has a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine, and a nine-speed automatic transmission, with the top speed going as quick as 238 km/hour.
5. Lamborghini Urus SUV – INR 3.15 Crore
Last but not least, Rohit also has a premium Lamborghini, the Urus SUV. It was available in the automobile market for INR 3.15 crore. Notably, Rohit, while driving this one, was issued three challans for overspeeding.
Urus was the first-ever Super Sports Utility Vehicle in the world. Rohit bought it in March 2022 and was seen driving it after the T20 World Cup later that year. It has a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, making it one of the most popular luxury cars in India as well.
Nevertheless, it’s safe to say, that Rohit doesn’t have as many luxurious cars as the other well-known cricketers in India. Maybe he is not too keen on investing in cars, given the fact that these are absolutely nothing compared to his net worth and average spending.
