Established in 2003, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is commonly known as Uppal Stadium located in Hyderabad, Telangana. Previously known as Visaka International Cricket Stadium, it is situated in the beautiful eastern suburb of Uppal, Hyderabad. It is one of the newest sports establishments which is owned and organized by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).
The stadium is also home to the domestic teams of Hyderabad and women’s cricket team, and IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. The seating capacity of this ground is 39,200 cricket fans. It is also considered one of the biggest Indian cricket grounds with the shortest boundary being 55 meters and the longest length of the boundary being 71 meters.
