Kotambi BCA Stadium Pitch Report: Batting or Bowling?
The pitch at Kotambi Stadium is known for its versatility. In the initial matches, the surface exhibited a tendency to assist spinners, making it slightly bowler-friendly. However, batters who spend time at the crease can capitalize on the consistent bounce and score heavily, as seen during the India Women’s total of 358 against West Indies in December 2024.
The wicket also offers something for pacers, especially under overcast conditions. The grass cover allows swing bowlers to extract movement, making it a balanced surface. Batting becomes easier in the latter half of the game if dew comes into play, favoring teams chasing under lights.
