The stadium opened its gates on December 22, 2024, with a high-profile women’s one-day international (ODI) series between India and West Indies. With a seating capacity of 35,000, the stadium is among the premier cricketing venues in India. Built at a cost of ₹200 crores on 29 acres of land, the stadium project was spearheaded by Mr. Amit Parikh under the leadership of Mr. Pranav Amin, President of the Baroda Cricket Association. This state-of-the-art venue has quickly earned recognition for hosting international matches and becoming a hub for cricket in Gujarat.
