Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium Pitch Report: Earlier called as Ekana Cricket Stadium, the government renamed this stadium in 2018 after the name of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The approval for constructing this stadium was obtained in 2014, and after four years, the first international match was witnessed here. The final match of the Duleep Trophy 2017-18 was also played at this stadium, located in the elegant Lucknow city, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 50,000 spectators can watch the match due to its immense seating capacity. This stadium comes across as the fifth largest and most recently built stadium in India.

A total of five fixtures as part of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 were featured here, including a thrilling match between India and England. In 2019, as per a request made by the Afghanistan Cricket Board, this venue also became a home ground for the Afghanistan international team, which played the first test match this stadium ever witnessed against West Indies.
